This place is definitely rated too low. It's not the best Asian buffet ever, and it won't blow your mind, but it has some solid food and you can stuff yourself on a budget. BBQ pork, salt and pepper shrimp, and sesame balls are highlights of the buffet. Getting some fruit for dessert to balance out all the fried food leaves you not feeling terrible. The "American chicken" type items like General's Chicken are underwhelming, so don't fill your plate with those. I only went once but I didn't see any of the rudeness from the staff that other reviews complain about. I saw them having friendly chats with several customers

Vancouver just has three buffets these days. Golden Corral, Makoto, & this one. I found the experience very typical of Chinese buffets -- in a good way. Good choice, good rotation of dishes, & a large seating area that is surprisingly quiet. If you like Chinese buffet you'll find it meets the experience you're accustomed to.
